An investment group led by Joh. A. Benckiser is offering nearly $10 billion for D.E. Master Blenders, a coffee and beverage company spun off from Sara Lee last year. Coke develops sugar-free drink with fiber
Coca-Cola is seeking patent protection for what it says is the first sugar-free drink containing fiber. The drink can be frozen and can be served carbonated or non-carbonated, the company said in its patent filing. American City Business Journals/Atlanta Business Chronicle (3/28)
