Bimbo debuts Sara Lee-branded snack cakes
Bimbo Bakeries USA has introduced a line of snack cakes under its Sara Lee brand, spurring a strong first quarter, said chief financial officer Guillermo Quiroz. "A number of new products were launched in the quarter, including the Sara Lee snack cakes, allowing us to take advantage of opportunities in the marketplace," he said. Procter & Gamble has moved the Gillette men's grooming products creative account from BBDO to Grey, mostly dissolving one of the longest running brand-agency relationships in ad history. Bud campaign focuses on brewmasters, pushes tracking app
Anheuser-Busch InBev, in a new campaign that comes amid some negative press about the quality of the beer, is showing the people who make Budweiser, focusing on the ingredients and promoting a tracking application. The Anomaly-created campaign features regional brewmasters talking about the joy of making the beer, and the spots end by touting the Track Your Bud app, which allows consumers to link their beer to its origins. FDA plans to study caffeine-added food
Wrigley's launch of Alert Energy Caffeine Gum is spurring the FDA to examine how children are affected by food with added caffeine.
