Ice cream sales see slow growth
An increase in the number of frozen treat offerings may be the reason that ice cream sales grew just 9% between 2008 and 2013 to $11.2 billion, and the category saw a 1.1% rise in both dollar and unit sales for the 52 weeks ending May 18, according to Mintel and Information Resources.
