Hollywood stars help Dr Pepper Snapple handle its wastewater
The Dr Pepper Snapple Group has teamed up with actors Woody Harrelson and Edward Norton to improve wastewater treatment at its bottling plant in Houston. The beverage-maker bought an on-site processing system from Baswood, a company that Harrelson founded and Norton chairs, in a bid to reduce costs and pollution. "This was a clear opportunity to reduce the costs associated with treating our wastewater," said Tim Gratto, vice president of sustainability at DPS. "But as with many decisions that are cost-driven, installing this system had clear environmental benefits." GreenBiz.com (3/25)
