Bar-code scanning traffic grew 800% in the first three months of 2011 compared to the same period last year, led by deal-seeking iPhone users and a growing number of Android-powered device owners, according to new figures from Scanbuy. Two retail campaigns that incorporated bar codes ranked among the top-five in terms of traffic, the report said.
