Mondelez names next Asia Pacific chief
Timothy Cofer, currently head of the European unit for Mondelez International, will lead the Asia Pacific and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa units following the retirement of Pradeep Pant at the end of the year, the company announced. Kraft patent could improve dairy flavor
Kraft is seeking a patent for a system that would enhance the "dairy flavor" of ultra-filtrated dairy drinks. With the addition of dairy minerals, including calcium and potassium, "fortified dairy products exhibit enhanced fresh dairy flavor notes," the company said. FoodNavigator (8/27)

More than 40% of families say they depend on meals that are easy to prepare and nutritious, according to a Stop & Shop Supermarket survey of 500 customers. The study reveals that 88% of customers make quick meals, such as spaghetti, baked chicken and tacos, at least once a week.
