Retailers in Tokyo and elsewhere in Japan continue to deal with the damage caused by the earthquake and tsunami that rocked the country last weekend. Stores are reopening, but consumers remain disinterested. Japan Fashion Week Organization announced that it has canceled its show in Tokyo, which was to start Friday. "Due to the multiple concerns regarding current electricity shortages, unreliable transportation and general safety concerns, the Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo that was scheduled to take place this week and next week has been cancelled," according to the organizer's website. The company had initially planned to establish retail outlets under the name Data Express in 13 Chinese department stores, according to Yvonne Li, president at Far EasTone.
