  • FDA allows Wright to resume fresh-egg business
    The Food and Drug Administration will allow Wright County Egg of Galt, Iowa, to resume selling fresh eggs from two of its 73 egg houses. Wright eggs were recalled last summer after more than 1,800 people were sickened by salmonella-infected eggs. In a statement, the FDA expressed confidence in Wright's ability to ship safe eggs "after four months of intensive work by the company and oversight, testing and inspections by FDA."
