Coca-Cola said its Minute Maid Pulpy is its first brand from an emerging market to have sales in excess of $1 billion. A study presented at the Supply Chain Conference, hosted by GMA and the Food Marketing Institute, found that 40% of items are defined as slow movers that ship fewer than six cases per week. "It's the price we pay for new items," said Randy Fletcher, vice president of logistics and supply-chain management for Associated Grocers. Fletcher also blamed "SKU proliferation."
