- Carphone Warehouse says Android is No. 1
Carphone Warehouse said sales of Apple's iPhone were overtaken last year by sales of mobile phones operating on the Android platform. The retailers released quarterly figures that show demand for smartphones jumped during the holidays. About three-quarters of the phones sold by the company were smartphones, up from 50% orto 60% in previous quarters, said CEO Roger Taylor.
