  • Salmonella traced to sprouts from Illinois organic farm
Salmonella contamination in more than 15 states may have originated in alfalfa sprouts from Tiny Greens Organic Farm in Illinois, the Food and Drug Administration said. Federal and state regulators said they have been working with the farm, which supplies Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches, to curb the outbreak. Many of the 89 people who have fallen sick are Illinois residents who ate at the sandwich chain, which has temporarily stopped serving sprouts in that state.
