Mexico's largest soft-drink bottler, Coca-Cola Femsa, is acquiring Grupo Tampico, based in the Mexican city of Tampico, in a $555 million all-share transaction. "We believe it's a geographical area of the country that will have important growth and we have plans to continue growing the business," said Coca-Cola Femsa Chief Financial Officer Hector Trevino, noting other small bottlers may prefer a transaction in shares.
