The president's $500 million Advanced Manufacturing Partnership brings together six universities and 11 companies. - Walkers Potato Chips wins ad effectiveness award in Cannes
A campaign in the U.K. for PepsiCo's Walker Potato Chips has won an award at Cannes for most effective ad. The company hired celebrities such as Pamela Anderson to hand out chips in Sandwich, Kent, to promote its tagline: "Walkers can make any sandwich more exciting." Videos of the event were seen by 1.6 million people and revenues jumped 26% as the company sold 1.5 million additional bags of chips after the campaign.
