- Target acquires more Zellers leases in Canada
Target added 84 Zellers leases to 105 chosen in May, as the retailer moves to open 135 stores in Canada during the next few years. Of the 84 leases, rights to 39 will be transferred to Wal-Mart Stores; 29 are slated to open as Target stores and will continue operating as Zellers stores until they are closed for remodeling.
