Thomas Varghese, CEO at Aditya Birla retail, said that he's not in any rush to link up with a foreign partner, although he supports the move to allow foreign direct investment in India's multi-brand retail sector. "No we are not looking at roping in a foreign partner immediately. However, capital is the need of the hour for expansion and domestic funds are not readily available. PriceSmart, a warehouse-style retailer, has outlets in the Caribbean and Central America and is now entering South America with a store in Barranquilla, Colombia.
