August retail sales showed strong year-over-year growth but modest month-to-month gains, signaling a slight resistance from consumers who may be exhibiting signs of spending fatigue. According to NRF, August retail industry sales rose 0.1% seasonally adjusted over July and 6% unadjusted year-over-year.
