- Beer sales continue 4-year decline
U.S. beer sales are dropping for a fourth consecutive year, down 1.9% to 2.8 billion cases, according to the 2011 Beer Handbook from Beverage Information Group. - P&G seeks to broaden its appeal among Hispanics
Procter & Gamble is stepping up its efforts to capture a larger share of the U.S. Hispanic market by tapping Spanish-speaking celebrity spokeswomen and adding more Spanish to P&G coupons and product packaging. The consumer packaged goods marketer also is launching a website targeted to Hispanic consumers and intends to begin importing to the U.S. a larger share of goods that P&G currently sells only in Latin American markets.
