- Survey shows an increasing use of coupons
A survey from RetailMeNot.com on consumer coupon behavior finds increased awareness of online coupons and increased use of coupons, with 34% of online adults saying they will wait for a coupon or shop elsewhere instead of paying the full retail price. The survey also found that 87% of men and 93% of women have used coupons for grocery purchases, with 69% using newspapers and 33% going online to find them. A study of 2,000 Seattle-area shoppers finds those who buy groceries at Whole Foods, Metropolitan Market and PCC to be slimmer than those who shop at QFC, Albertsons and Safeway.
