Walkers, a company owned by PepsiCo, is working to develop environmentally friendly packaging made from potato peelings. "If you could mass it together you could create a layer of starch and stabilize that," explained Richard Evans, president of PepsiCo U.K. and Ireland. "We could use the peelings we have, that today go to animal feed and other recycling uses, to be turned into a crisp packets."
