- Traditional grocer is falling out of favor, report says
According to Jefferies and AlixPartners' report "Trouble in Aisle 5," only 41% of millennials buy food at a traditional grocer, and they are more concerned with freshness and convenience than store or brand loyalty. "Millennials are channel surfers, jumping from one retail channel to another because that's what suits them," AlixPartners Managing Director David Garfield said.
