  • London named top city in the world for shopping
Britain's Centre for Retail Research released a study that found London generated £64.2 billion in non-food retail sales in 2010, making it the top city in the world for online and in-store shopping. London was followed by Tokyo, New York and Paris in the study, which covered 22 major destinations. "The key to London's success appears to be the quality and quantity of shops on offer, combined with the revenue generated by the huge volume of tourists that passes through," said Chris Simpson, marketing director at Kelkoo, which commissioned the study.
