UK Business Secretary Vince Cable is throwing out 130 of 257 retail regulations, including a requirement that licences are needed to sell fly spray, household bleach and liqueur-filled chocolates. - Chile's La Polar goes to court to sidestep bankruptcy
Empresas La Polar is planning to seeking to renegotiate repayments to its creditors in an effort to avoid bankruptcy. The Chilean retailer's board agreed to file a preventative judicial agreement, which requires creditor support. "We took this decision due to the difficulty of reaching unanimity with creditors, a task that would take too long," said Chairman Cesar Barros.
