Chanel is launching a Facebook application to promote its Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks. The app works as a photo booth, with users taking self-portraits using a webcam, finishing off the photos using Chanel-branded decorations, then sharing them on a Facebook page. "Through the photo booth, they become part of the brand they identify so much with -- they are now part of Chanel," says Ron Schott, senior strategist at Spring Creek Group.
