- Boots reports 0.4% rise in sales at healthy and beauty unit
In the six months to the end of September, Alliance Boots' health and beauty division saw its sales climb 0.4%, the weakest growth since it was taken private in 2007. The company said that tough retail conditions and pressure to discount hit sales. Boots said that group revenues surged 31.3%, mostly thanks to acquisitions.
