Anheuser-Busch plans to invest $7 million to add canning capacity and increase brewing production at a facility in Baldwinsville, N.Y. Food makers and restaurants are adjusting to a changing attitude toward eating, in which people are more likely to snack than to eat three square meals a day. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with Coca-Cola and Kroger, are opening separate recycling facilities for plastic bottles. While Coca-Cola Recycling starts its latest Reimagine bottle recycling center at a Kroger supermarket branch in Irving, Texas, MIT has set up a recycling system developed by Greenbean. The machine compacts cans and rewards recyclers with 5-cent rebates that can be credited to users' accounts, and data is uploaded on Facebook to monitor the amount of materials that users have deposited.
