More than a third of mobile gadget users say they use the devices to shop, and plan to spend about $575 on mobile purchases during the next year, according to a survey from an industry group. Consumers use smartphones and tablets to browse and buy both in-store and online, redeem gift cards and search for coupons, the survey found.  - Australia's online retail grows at a faster rate
Online retail in Australia only makes up 5% of total retail sales, but e-commerce is growing at a faster rate than traditional retail and is expected to grow to 10% of the total within five years, according to a new report from the National Australia Bank. Online sales grew 29% last year while brick-and-mortar business rose 2.5%, the report says.  - Survey: Customers share discount e-mails
Marketing e-mails that include discounts are shared most often, according to Emailvision.
