- Alibaba closes 9 Taobao stores over bribery allegations
China's Alibaba Group shut down and permanently barred nine online stores from selling via its Taobao shopping platform, after accusations that the merchants bribed Taobao workers to remove negative posts about them and raise their credit ratings.
