    Partners from the public and private sectors are working to build the 1.6 million-square-foot "Mall of the World" in Guangzhou province in southern China.     Australian retail chains Myer and David Jones have begun battling it out for exclusive rights to sell fall styles from top designers. David Jones said this week it has sealed deals with 12 designers and 18 brands, including Pucci, Balmain and Versace. The move came after rival Myer announced deals with menswear designer Arthur Galan and Australian fashion label Simona.
