    Wal-Mart Canada will open as many as 40 supercentres, which will generate more than 9,000 jobs. The move is expected to ramp up the competition in Canada's retail market. "Our major strategic focus is on the supercentre," said Susan Schutta, director of corporate affairs for Wal-Mart Canada. "We find that more and more Canadians are looking for one-stop shopping where they can pick up their clothes and appliances and then go to the grocery store."
