Macy's has filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against Martha Stewart Living, alleging that a new licensing agreement with rival J.C. Penney violates its exclusive contract with the brand. Macy's has carried a line of Martha Stewart home and kitchen products since 2007, and a deal sealed with Penney's last month calls for the store to sell branded products in the same categories. "The right for Macy's to sell product exclusively in these categories was clearly outlined," Macy's said.
