  • Sycamore Partners to buy Talbots in $369 million deal
    A week after exclusive negotiations ended, private equity firm Sycamore Partners said it will buy women's apparel retailer Talbots for $193.3 million in cash plus assumed debt that brings the value of the deal to $369 million. "Sycamore Partners is a strong investor with substantial resources and expertise, and we look forward to operating as a private company under their ownership," said CEO Trudy Sullivan, who is expected to step down by the end of the month.
