  • Grain firms will not accept biotech corn without EU approval
    Cargill said it would allow only Syngenta's biotech corn, Agrisure Viptera, at its wet milling facilities once the company secures EU approval for the variety. Archer Daniels Midland said it would accept only biotech crops that have marketing approvals in Europe and that it would require an "advance written notice so that we can make merchandising decisions regarding the grain and ... ensure the integrity of our supply chain and our exports," said Roman Blahoski, a spokesman for the company.
