  • Canada's electronics retailers optimistic about holidays
    Canada's largest consumer electronics retailers are adding thousands of seasonal employees as they expect shoppers to splash out on tablet computers, smartphones and other gadgets. Future Shop said it plans to add 4,000 workers in Canada, while Best Buy Canada plans to beef up its workforce by about 2,000 positions. "The staff increases are about the same as last year and many will stay on as full-time employees," said Annalisa King, chief financial officer at Best Buy Canada and its sister company Future Shop.
